Patience worked for SMART Telecom before Joining the Federation.

Mr.Muyimba John

An active citizen with a rich experience in training entrepreneurs who wish to
start and improve their businesses. In my current engagement with FFOU, an NGO
funded by GIZ, I server as a Finance and Administration Director,

Isaac Olua Ojok

The Director Aquaculture

Isaac holds proficient 25 years of experience in fisheries development in Uganda and carried out various activities in the fisheries sector that include the following:

Capture fisheries;

• Establishment and orientation of Landing site management committees formerly called BMU in an effort to promote fisheries co management
• Organizing and registering of fishers associations/CBOs to supplement of government initiatives at landing sites
• Does fishers Organization Development (OD) and orient them to achieve on their aspirations
• Advocacy on reduction on un regulated fishing for sustainable harvest
• Promotion of saving culture and other Income Generating Activities (IGAs) at landing sites
• Promotion of best fish handling and quality management at all stages, value addition and marketing

Aquaculture;

• A successful cage fish farmer
• Establishment and registration of fish farmer groups
• Capacity building for fish farmers and connection to other aquaculture services
• Initiation of cage fish farming for wealth and job creation and to decongest and reduce capture fisheries pressure
• Promotion of agriculture farm integration for maximum output and land utilization

FFOUs Aquaculture mission;

• Promotion of aquaculture to be one of the biggest production venture to meet the high demands for fresh fish both in local and export market hence promoting the Nile perch fisheries
• Promotion of partnerships with Government and sector players in fisheries development

Semitala Hamid aka Semix is a family man. He joined the Federation of Fisheries Organisations in Uganda in 2020. He is a professional tutor in Computer Programming & Critical Thinking.

Hamid’s objective is to demystify programming and create usable systems for social importance. Hamid is a complete full-stack developer with an experience of over 8 years in the following languages:

• Javascript/Typescript/NativeScript/React-native
• C#
• SQL
• Rust

Ms.Naiga Sharon,

Many know this young woman as a very hardworking person. She is committed and eager to learn.

Ms. Asaso has worked for FFOU for over 5years. She remains very committed, very loyal and she is known for her good timing keeping ethic.

An Eloquent Multimedia Programmer, Frank holds an experience of over 20 years in Field content production & design. He is a consolidated team leader and player, and a very humble and ambitious team player.

The Field of Fisheries in Uganda needs content, So far with his skillset, The Federation keeps the best documentaries about Local Species and we are doing much more everyday to develop local Fisheries content for the development of the sector.

Baliruno Ivan (Mr.) is a fields assistant at the Federation. His ground works with Fishers make him to be grounded with a vast experience and knowledge about the affairs of the fish traders in Kampala and around Lake Victoria

A very hardworking young man with a strong passion in Sports, Mr.Barungi is the procurement officer at the Federation. He joined the Federation in Mid 2021, his goal is to Keep the Federation under proper statutory lines with the PPDA in all the Federation does to acquire or dispose.
